DLSA Sonitpur Recruitment 2026: The Office of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Sonitpur, Tezpur (Assam) has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 inviting applications for contractual engagement under the Legal Aid Defense Counsel System (LADCS).

Eligible advocates can apply for the posts of Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel and Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel. The recruitment will be done through Viva-Voce (Interview).

• Have minimum 10 years practice in criminal law
• Possess strong understanding of criminal law and defense practice
• Have handled at least 30 criminal trials in Sessions Courts (may be relaxed in special cases)
• Possess good oral and written communication skills
• Preferably have computer knowledge

Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel

Candidates must:

• Have 0–3 years practice in criminal law
• Possess good communication and drafting skills
• Have strong legal research and writing abilities
• Have basic IT / computer knowledge

Age Limit: DLSA Sonitpur Recruitment 2026

Age relaxation will be applicable according to government rules.

Performance of selected candidates will be reviewed periodically.
