    • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India (subject to eligibility certificate requirements where applicable).

    A certificate of eligibility is not required for Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
